The clock is not allowed to reset or stop between exercises and on the call of “rotate,” I had to move to the next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
I did the WOD as prescribed for women, so I used a 6kg medicine ball for the Wallballs and 25kg for the Sumo Deadlift High-Pulls and Push Presses.
After the combo of Wallballs + Sumo Deadlift High-Pulls + Box Jumps, my legs are pretty exhausted! I’m shattered!
Was you active? I don’t know about you but I love the crisp autumn mornings – they are perfect for long walks and spotting wildlife! We went for a long walk on Sunday and saw two deer in the field amoung the frost – I wish I had my camera!
There are loads of activities you can do inside with your children too, especially if they feel the cold! Why not replicate movements we use in the gym such as squats by placing things on the floor and getting them to pick things up or shoulder presses by lifting toys in the air 20 times. You could also get some bean bags and see who can sit on the floor and then stand up while balancing the bag on their head? Yes you’ll drop them but isn’t that half the fun???
The darker nights might be upon us but that’s no reason to stop moving!!
Why not have a dance party? Crank the music and get your kids to show you their stuff – you can join in too – there is nothing more fun than a good old boogie! Try it – you will walk away with a huge smile on you face, I promise!!
